Treats are mostly made to ‘reward’ our dogs, chews have an even larger purpose. Monday’s Pastime Chews are specifically curated to be Anti-boredom Chews.

How?

• They hold incredibly unique smells for your dog to sniff his/her little heart out. It may look like a regular bunny ear to you, but to your dog, it’s the aroma of Europe and the environment the bunny came from. (not a cage, but of the free-roaming grassy plains of The Netherlands.

• They last longer than commercial chews and are considered “High-value” that dogs often hide them later to continue chewing or chew nonstop until is gone.

• They are safe, ingestible and natural. All the chews can be eaten safely, no chemicals were added in the drying process. The single ingredients are simple - rabbit & cow.

Anti-boredom Chews

The longer chew duration, smell factor and crunchiness (“cronch” )together make these High-value chews. During those insufferably long hours by themselves trained dogs will look to entertain themselves and chew on the most desirable things around.

Anxiety and Stress Relief

Some dogs need something to do to relieve their anxieties at home. Lack of quality stimulation often results in bad behavior. These chews are both strong smell and taste stimulation, which releases endorphins or the ‘happy hormone” in dogs.

Teeth Cleaning Properties

Commercial dental chews are made of cheap flours, starches and hardened with chemicals. Worse, they last only for a fraction of the time compared to pure keratin or animal skin. We want our dogs to chew on something they can safely ingest, enjoy thoroughly and provide sensory pleasure. After all, they deserve the best treats.

Digestive Health

The abrasive texture of natural fur from bunny ears may help clean out your dog’s digestive tracts from residue and increase their absorption of nutrients from their food. All chews are primarily protein with zero cheap carbohydrates.

Hypoallergenic

Rabbits are considered a novel protein, making it unlikely to cause a reaction. Calf hooves are just keratin (same as the dog’s nails) and cow scalp is mainly protein and collagen (where the elasticity when we comes from), contains natural levels of glucosamine and chondroitin and very low in fat.

These chews are valuable to dogs so like regular treats, only give it when your dog is showing good behavior and/or is in a calm state of mind. Rewarding good behavior is the cornerstone of positive reinforcement training. Don’t give multiple at once to avoid sensory overload. It won’t harm them but allowing them time to focus on one treat at a time gives them maximum enjoyment.

If you plan to store them for long, they don’t really go bad as long as you keep them dry. Best is to keep them in an airtight container or a zip locked bag, limit exposure to contain the original essence.

Dogs experience the world through their noses. Their sense of smell is 100 million times better than ours, with the analyzing capacity in their brain 40x larger than humans.
